‘Do not talk about your work’. This rule has been laid down for architects Benedetta Tagliabue (EMBT), Andrés Jaque (Office for Political Innovation) and Sir Peter Cook (Co-founder of Crab Studio) who will meet up in the Liceu Opera House, Barcelona, on September 27th. The objective is that they have a conversation about their professional and personal careers, and major influences (among other things), but their own work, which is widely recognised across the globe, cannot be discussed.
Architects, not architecture was started in Germany in 2015 by the architect Fermín Tribaldos. After 15 editions in the most important German cities, featuring 75 influential names in architecture and attended by 65,000 people, the event is expanding beyond Germany, landing in Barcelona as well as Oslo and Copenhagen in September, before more German dates later in the year.
