Jan Boelen
Karlsruhe, GermanyJan Boelen is a curator of design, architecture and contemporary art. He is the founder and artistic director of Z33, House for Contemporary Art, Design and Architecture in Hasselt, Belgium and he is currently the head of the Master in Social Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, the Netherlands. In 2014, he curated BIO 50, the 24th Biennial of Design in Ljubjlana, Slovenia and in 2018, he was the curator of the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial entitled “A School of Schools.” Since 2019 he is rector of Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe (HfG) and he is the curator of the Lithuanian Pavillion for the Venice Architecture Biennial 2020.
