Eva Schlegel
Vienna, AustriaEva Schlegel graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under the aegis of Oswald Oberhuber. From 1997 to 2006 she taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna as professor of art and photography. In 2011 she was the commissioner for the Austrian Pavilion at the 54th Venice Biennale. Her focus is on questioning the limits of perception of common viewing habits and she uses photography and objects as well as installation works, which are implemented experimentally and spatially by using different media such as photography on lead, mirror or glass. Since 1995, she has completed numerous public art projects in Austria and abroad.
