Hattie Hartman is an enthusiastic champion for sustainable architecture, welcoming every opportunity to engage with practitioners in the UK and abroad. Raised in the US, she trained as an architect and urban planner at MIT and she has lived in London since 1991. After 15 years in practice, serendipity and the opportunity to interview Oscar Niemeyer led her into journalism. She now works as an architectural journalist and she is the sustainability editor of “The Architects’ Journal.” She is the author of “London 2012 Sustainable Design” (Wiley, 2012), editor of “Invisible Architecture: Atelier Ten” (Laurence King, 2015), and coauthor of “Energy, People, Buildings” (RIBA Publishing, 2021).
