Søren Nielsen
Copenhagen, DenmarkSøren Nielsen is an architect with a diploma from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Since 2008 he is a partner at Vandkunsten Architects where he is the director of research and development. His main interest is sustainability understood in the widest sense, in particular strategies for reusing as much as possible existing construction materials. He has been responsible for planning and design of many buildings with diverse functions and in different scales. A key member of the board of sustainability at the association of Danish Architecture Firms, he is also a member of the board at Green Building Council Denmark, which works with DGNB certifications. He often gives lectures and courses all around the world about sustainable architecture and Design for Disassembly.
