Teresa Sapey graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Turin in 1985. She later completed her academic training in Paris, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Parsons School of Design and a master's degree from the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris-La Villette. In 1990, she moved to Madrid, where she set up her own architecture studio. In 2005, she participated in the Hotel Puerta América Madrid project, where she was responsible for the design of the car park along with 18 other renowned architects. She now specialises in what she calls ‘non-places’, spaces without a soul within which she applies the philosophy ‘we design spaces with feelings’, which her studio is based on.
