The Olympic City is an ongoing documentary photography project by Jon Pack and Gary Hustwit that looks at the legacy of the Olympic Games in former host cities around the world.
Through this documentary photography project, the authors offer a critical look at the real trace left by the Olympic Games. They show how newly-built architectural works and sports facilities remain unused and abandoned, while others are reborn and adjust to the new needs.
The book was edited in 2014 as the initial support for the project. But the documentary work of its authors is still alive, enriching after each Olympics. The photographs have been exhibited in several museums, and the archive continues to be updated in their own website.
