Feeding a growing population with the same natural resources is one of the greatest challenges humanity will face in the not too distant future.
Until now, traditional farming strategies have monopolized the management of natural resources. However, these strategies largely depend on pesticides and chemicals. Moreover, this system is detrimental to those areas that lack natural resources or the capacity to produce their own food.
In view of this situation, the documentary The Rise of Vertical Farming, directed by Geert Rozinga, analyzes how this type of farming can radically modify the system.
It leads us to discover this phenomenon from the economic, social and cultural point of view.
