A wearable chair designed to provide support for the elderly

Engineers at Astride Bionix have created a wearable stool designed for a variety of people, from factory workers to older people in need of support during everyday activities like fishing or long commutes. The wearable chair is comprised of a black seat fixed onto the body with straps that tighten around the hip and just under the buttock. Two metallic legs swing out from underneath to rest at an angle that forms a 120-degrees body-thigh sitting posture for an optimum resting position. Its popularity has prompted the company to create a second-generation Lex in their exploration of augmenting the human body.
