- Updated Inspiration
A new architecture triennial in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will launch this November with the aim of challenging stereotypes and clichés about the region and its architecture. Under the theme Rights of Future Generations, the triennial invites guests to radically rethink fundamental questions about architecture and its power to create and sustain alternative modes of existence to address long-standing challenges around environmental change and inequality, particularly within the context of the Arabic-speaking world and the Global South. The inaugural edition is curated by Adrian Lahoud, dean of the school of architecture at the Royal College of Art, London.
