On March 10th, Roca Barcelona Gallery will host the event Generative AI and Intellectual Property: The New Rules of the Game for Creativity.
We will discuss how the acceleration of artificial intelligence is profoundly transforming the creative economy, affecting key aspects such as authorship, intellectual property rights, business models, and design ethics. At a time when many creative professionals express concern about the originality of works, the protection of their work, and the responsible use of data and content, this event is designed as a space for clarity to understand today’s rules of the game.
The session will explore the real impact of AI on copyright, the main legal challenges that are emerging, the ethical implications of its use, and the opportunities it offers to strengthen the resilience of the creative sector.
During the event, David Lahoz, a digital marketing and sustainability consultant specializing in artificial intelligence, will give a talk focused on responsible AI in the creative sector, addressing questions of ethics, digital rights, and the challenges AI poses for intellectual property. Following this, Ignasi Costas, an innovation lawyer and founder of RCD, will analyze what is at stake in the relationship between copyright and AI for creatives and companies, reviewing the current legal framework, existing risks, and new opportunities.
The session will conclude with an open Q&A between speakers and attendees, moderated by Isabel Roig, General Director of the Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation, and will end with a networking session starting at 8:00 p.m
