Arquitectura Música. Músicxs Arquitectxs

Roca Madrid Gallery and Figueras Seating present the first session of Architecture Music · Musicians Architects of 2025, under the theme "Stages on Stage Vol.1", which explores the relationship between stage space and the audience experience. From classical theaters to contemporary stages, we will address how design influences perception, acoustics, and audience interaction with the performance.

This session will showcase architectural experiences developed by researchers and professionals who play a key role in the materialization of constructions, scenographies, and the technical apparatus of stages that closely connect music and architecture. As tradition dictates, the event will conclude with a musical recital, merging architecture and music into a unique experience.

Speakers:

• Óscar Miguel Ares: architect and project professor at ETSA Valladolid. He is the author, along with architects Ángela García Paredes and Ignacio García Pedrosa, of the renovation project of the Lope de Vega Theater in Valladolid. 
• Mónica Boromello: architect and set designer. She will present the design and construction processes of a theatrical scenography.
• Carmen Alvaredo: architect and researcher at ETSAM. Author of the undergraduate thesis "Mark Fisher, Architect of Rock; Analysis of Three Scenographies".
