Join us for a an evening celebration of International Women’s Day in this public launch for Part W’s new campaign ‘Built Barriers’. The evening will feature a Pecha Kucha with guest speakers sharing examples of the barriers that prevent women accessing and using public spaces.

#BuiltBarriers is Part W’s new campaign. It will consist in documenting how women navigate spaces that weren’t designed with them in mind. From missing lifts that make traveling with prams impossible, to poorly lit underpasses that become no-go zones after dark.

The initial phase will create a visual archive of everyday challenges, making the invisible visible. In the next phase of the project where they will be spotlighting examples of brilliant and exemplary work being done in this sphere as well as giving policy recommendations. Find more about it on their website.
