Horacio Cherniavsky has a degree in architecture from the Universidad Católica Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, where he is currently a professor. In 2017 he founded the office Equipo de Arquitectura with Viviana Pozzoli. Their projects reflect different ways of approaching the same problem, working with matter, space and light as the primary themes that characterize their built work, which has been widely published. They were selected by the Latin American Architecture Biennial 2019 to exhibit their work in Pamplona, Spain and were finalists for the Architectural Review's Emerging Architecture Awards in 2020. The Caja de Tierra and the Casa Intermedia were selected as two of the ten Outstanding Projects for the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP) 2022.
