Jan Clostermann is the founding director of CLOU and an award-winning architect with 20 years of international experience. Following his architectural studies at the Technical University in Berlin, he received his Diploma from the Architectural Association in London. Before founding CLOU, he worked with Alsop Architects and cofounded Spark. He has designed numerous high-profile mixed-use and retail projects, masterplans, and interiors and he is a frequent guest speaker at academic and industry forums. At CLOU he leads a creative team of architects in studios in Beijing, Shanghai, and Lisbon. Together with directors Li Lin, Zhang Zhi, Tiago Tavares, and Sebastian Loaiza he enjoys developing bespoke and integrated design solutions, striving to distill innovative architectural typologies that are focused on social value.
