Kimberlie Birks is an art and design writer. Her work has been featured in Dwell, Domus, Metropolis, and on CNN.com. She recently published “Design for Children” (Phaidon), a century-wide survey of beautifully designed objects for children. She is also a cofounder of Creative States, an editorial platform and global prize for uplifting creative visions of the future. Born in Montreal, she graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and received a master’s degree in design criticism from the School of Visual Arts.
