Miquel Rodríguez

Miguel Rodríguez is a specialist in building envelope technologies and materiality. He is the founder and director of the studio xmade in Barcelona and Basel, which focuses on the development of design solutions that explore innovative energy efficient materials and the processes involved in their production. He holds a degree in architecture from the ETSAB and he is professor in the Sustainability Unit (SUUN) at the ETSALS and in the module Proactive Envelopes at the Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings and Biocities (MAEBB), Valldaura Labs, IAAC. He has been a visiting professor at the EPF in Lausanne and from 1999 to 2011 he was an associate in Herzog & de Meuron, and from 1992-1997 he was a collaborator with Josep Lluís Mateo in MAP Architects.
