Salvador Reyes Ríos

Salvador Reyes Ríos earned degrees as an industrial technician from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional and as an architect from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana where he also obtained a master’s degree in Design and in Urban Specialization and Conservation of Historic Buildings. In 2001, he founded the studio reyes ríos + larraín arquitectos with Josefina Larraín Lagos, in Mérida, Yucatán, México. Their work includes projects for the restoration of historic properties, private residences, and buildings for social activities, as well as tourism and culture in México and abroad. He has written about their own work in addition to Mexican and international design for diverse international publications and in 2017, ARQUINE published English and Spanish editions of the first monograph of the studio’s work: “Place, Matter and Belonging.”
