Porto, Portugal

Samuel Gonçalves is an architect and founder of SUMMARY, a Portugal-based studio focused on modular and prefabricated construction. He studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP) and established SUMMARY in 2015. The studio’s work has been internationally published and exhibited at venues such as the Venice Biennale, the Boston Society of Architects, the Bauhaus Centenary, and the Casa da Arquitectura–Centro Português de Arquitectura. As a researcher, he has cooperated with the TU Delft and the Center for Architecture and Planning Studies (CEAU-FAUP). His work ranges from collective housing to educational buildings and public space, always exploring industrialized construction methods and their tectonic impact on architecture.
