Verónica Villate

Verónica Villate holds a degree in architecture from the Universidad Nacional de Asunción. In 2016 she founded Mínimo Común Arquitectura with Solano Benítez and Sergie Jermolieff, which focuses on experimentation in the use of traditional materials and local labor to produce architecture that is socially and economically viable. The studio was selected as a finalist in the Young Architects in Latin America competition at the 2018 Venice Architecture Bienal and in 2019 was a participant in the Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (XI BIAU). In 2020 it was included in the ArchDaily selection of best young practices. Verónica Villate was a finalist for the Moira Gemmill Prize for Emerging Architecture at the Women in Architecture Awards in 2021, and she was featured in the publication: “100 Women: Architects in Practice” in 2023.
