Sydney Gallery Opens as a New Hub for Architecture, Design and Innovation in Australia

Roca Group has officially opened the Sydney Gallery, a new landmark space dedicated to architecture and design in Australia. Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Surry Hills, the Gallery joins the international network, present in cities such as Barcelona, Berlin, Delhi, Madrid, Lisbon, London, Shanghai, Beijing or São Paulo, reinforcing the company’s commitment to design culture and professional exchange.

 

 

Bringing together Roca and LAUFEN under one roof, the Sydney Gallery has been conceived as a design-driven environment that goes beyond the traditional showroom concept. The space places architecture and innovation at the centre, presenting a contemporary vision of the bathroom as a place of wellbeing, technological development and lifestyle, while also serving as a platform for dialogue within the architecture and design community.

Connecting Global Design with Local Context

The project occupies a heritage two-storey building in Surry Hills and has been designed by the international architecture and design studio DKO. The intervention preserves elements of the original structure while reinterpreting them through a contemporary architectural language, where light, materiality and circulation create a fluid spatial experience.

The Sydney Gallery presents LAUFEN and Roca in distinct environments that reflect the identity of each brand, showcasing advanced bathroom solutions that combine design excellence, technological innovation and sustainability.

 

 

Part of a Global Network of Galleries

The Sydney Gallery forms part of Roca Group’s international network of design and cultural spaces conceived as platforms for the exchange of ideas and the exploration of architecture, design and new ways of living.

This network includes galleries in cities such as Barcelona, Berlin, Madrid, Lisbon, London, Shanghai, Beijing or São Paulo, recently joined by the Delhi Gallery, inaugurated in December 2025 as the Group’s first gallery in India. With the addition of Sydney, the network continues to expand its global dialogue around design, innovation and sustainability.

Following this philosophy, the Sydney Gallery is also conceived as a forum for architects, designers and industry professionals in Australia, hosting events, presentations and encounters that will explore the evolving role of architecture and design in contemporary life.
