Jack Self

Jack Self is an architect and he is Director of REAL and editor in chief of Real Review. His architectural work promotes social equality through the design of homes, housing, and domestic space and specialises in radical new typologies (including cohousing), alternative models of ownership, finance and procurement. Jack's writing has appeared in The Guardian, eflux, 032c, the BBC, Frieze and CNN, and he has lectured in an array of venues including Columbia, UCLA, TU Berlin, ETSAM, Sotheby's, RIBA, KTH, the Royal Academy, and UTS Sydney. His first book “Real Estates: Life Without Debt” is now in its third printing, and other books include “Home Economics” (2016), “Mies in London” (2018) and “Symbolic Exchange” (2017).
