Elena Orte

Elena Orte holds a degree in architecture and a Master’s in Advanced Architectural Projects from ETSAM. In 2005, she cofounded SUMA with Guillermo Sevillano in Madrid. Alongside her team and collaborators, she has achieved success in various national and international competitions. Their completed projects have earned numerous accolades, including the 2024 EUmies Award for Emerging Architecture, Public Library of the Year 2023, COAM First Prize 2024, FAD First Prize 2024, and the Ciutat de Barcelona, Asprima, NAN, and Rebuild awards. She teaches at IE in Madrid, and at IAAC in Barcelona, and has served as an assistant professor at ETSAM’s Department of Architectural Projects (DPA). She has also participated as a juror, speaker, and workshop leader in numerous seminars and events in cities such as New York, Buenos Aires and Oslo.
