Guillermo Sevillano

Guillermo Sevillano holds a degree in architecture from ETSAM and a Master’s in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in New York. In 2005, he cofounded SUMA with Elena Orte in Madrid. Alongside his team and collaborators, he has achieved success in various national and international competitions. His completed projects have received numerous accolades, including the 2024 EUmies Award for Emerging Architecture, Public Library of the Year 2023, COAM First Prize 2024, FAD First Prize 2024, and the Ciutat de Barcelona, Asprima, NAN, and Rebuild awards. He is an associate professor at ETSAM’s Department of Architectural Projects (DPA) and at IAAC in Barcelona, where he leads a course on Advanced Ecological Structures. He has also taught at Camilo José Cela University and he has participated as a juror, speaker, and workshop leader in numerous seminars and events in cities such as New York, Buenos Aires and Oslo.
