Chris Romer-Lee

Chris Romer-Lee founded Studio Octopi in 2003 with James Lowe and has since led on the practice’s commercial and urban design projects ranging from office designs and water-based proposals. In 2014 the practice completed an exemplary refurbishment of a 1,000 seat Victorian amphitheater in Berkshire, and continues to work on numerous heritage and community-led crowdfunding projects. He founded the Thames Baths Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2015, a social enterprise for reintroducing swimming in the Thames River. In 2017, he became a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce in recognition of his work towards improving access to urban water.
