Xiaoxiao Zhao is a transdisciplinary designer, researcher, and artist. She considers design a medium between the human body and technical environment. She holds a Diploma in Architecture from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, and a Master of Architecture from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Her works have been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennial, the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, the National Art Museum of China, ShenZhen Sea World Culture and Arts Center, and the Wuhan Biennial. Her research has been published in e-flux magazine and she has taught at the Cooper Union, Architectural Association, and China Central Academy of Fine Arts, and engaged in research programs at the IAAC Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia.
