Yeoryia Manolopoulou

Yeoryia Manolopoulou is Professor of Architecture and Experimental Practice at the Bartlett, UCL. She is a founder of AY Architects, which has realised notable public projects including several state school buildings in Camden (Montpelier Community Nursery, Torriano School Library, Eleanor Palmer Science Lab, Camden School for Girls building extensions) and, among other installations, House of Flags, an iconic construction erected on London’s Parliament Square for the 2012 Olympics. Manolopoulou is the author of Architectures of Chance (Routledge, 2013) and the founder and general editor of the Bartlett Design Research Folios. In 2014, she was nominated Emerging Woman Architect of the Year. In 2016, she cocreated the Irish Pavilion for the Venice Biennale, presenting a research project on drawing and dementia.
