Catherine Slessor originally trained as an architect at Edinburgh University and then diverted into architectural journalism. She has worked on both the Architects’ Journal and the Architectural Review and was the AR’s editor from 2010-2015, the first woman to hold the post. In 2016 she completed a Masters in Architectural History and Theory at the Bartlett School of Architecture, and now is a freelance architectural critic, writer and editor.
