Joan Batlle

Barcelona, Spain

Joan Batlle graduated in 2016 with a degree in architecture from the ETSAB-UPC, where he is currently studying for his master’s degree in landscape architecture in a joint program with the ESAB. In 2014 he joined Batlle i Roig Arquitectura and he is currently the Vice Director of the landscape department and the I+D Director. He has participated in numerous projects as a specialist in biosustainability and biophilic cities. Among his most outstanding works is a new sector in Gavà-Llevant Mar, which consists of the sustainable urbanization of the roads along with the protection of the pine forest, dune recovery and the creation of a new promenade that respects the ecosystem. He has taught at both the ETSAB and the ESAB.
