Toni Gironès

Toni Gironès received his architecture degree from the ESTAV and his PhD from the UPC. He taught design at the ETSAV from 1993 to 2005, and since 2020 he is an associate professor at the ETSA-URV, Reus. He founded the architectural firm Estudio de arquitectura Toni Gironès in 1993. His works aspire to resolve the needs of people while preserving the environment. Throughout his career he has received many awards and recognitions for his work, including the Premio de Arquitectura Española en 2019, and in 2023, the Piranesi Prix de Rome et d' Athènes, with the proposal for the Acropolis of Athens in coauthorship with a research team from the Politecnico di Milano.
