XU Xiaomeng was born in Beijing and he founded Domain Architects in 2019 in Shanghai. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Architecture and received his Master of Architecture from Columbia University. His practice strives to inform architectural experiences with innovative site strategies combined with the exploration of contemporary and traditional Chinese design principles. Domain Architects has been recognized with numerous international awards including: in 2021, the World Design Awards for the Chengdong Elderly Nursing Home and in 2022, the LIV Hospitality Awards and the Architecture MasterPrize for the MM Farm Hotel.
