Rafael Gómez-Moriana is Adjunct Associate Professor and Local Manager of the Barcelona Term Abroad Program at the University Of Calgary’s Faculty of Environmental Design. He holds a professional architecture degree from the University of Waterloo (Canada) and a post- professional master from the Berlage Institute (the Netherlands). Gómez-Moriana is a member of CICA (Comité International des Critiques d’Architecture) and contributes regularly to periodicals such as Frame, Azure and Baumeister. The recipient of a Graham Foundation grant as well as grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, his research investigates mass-cultural aspects of architecture such as housing, cities, tourism, and media.
